Protocol Engineer

Cork, DeFi protocol

I build and run the systems the protocol runs on.

• Event indexer on 5 chains (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, HyperEVM), self-healing at the chain head.
• Production API and RFQ venue, plus an MCP server and CLI so AI assistants can operate the protocol.
• Trading agents platform: about 20 agents trading real money from Safe smart accounts, answering RFQs in milliseconds.
• Solidity: agent infrastructure contracts and protocol features (rollovers, permits for just-in-time minting, market creation), with 12 contracts deployed at one CREATE2 address per chain.
• Tokenized reinsurance pilot: onchain policies and claims, with salted Merkle commitments so each insurer verifies only its own data.

Tech Lead

Nefture, onchain security and analytics

Joined as data engineer, became tech lead of the company's two products, leading a team of 4.

• Designed the core of a DeFi PnL platform: a JSON language that describes any protocol position as a sequence of calls, an engine that rebuilds positions block by block, and an optimised PnL engine on top. It became the company's main product.
• Built the data platform behind a browser extension that warns users before they sign a malicious transaction: address labels from public and threat datasets, and an indexer on 5 chains.
• Built a deep learning model that scores 100,000+ newly deployed contracts a day for maliciousness (F1 96.3%).

Senior Data Engineer

• Led a team of 5 building an NLP and OCR system that tracks EU regulation changes for a cosmetics brand.
• Built a reusable library that embeds real-time Qlik visualisation of financial data into Angular applications.
• Built data pipelines, dashboards and Salesforce integrations across client projects.

• Built a real-time platform where agents with conflicting preferences reach collective decisions, using logic-based reasoning.
